Limited on time in Picton?
Don’t worry we have you covered!
The Link Pathway project which is a total of 42km began in 2005 with a desire by Inner Marlborough
Sounds residents to see pathways established between local communities. As
initial pathways were created the vision grew to build a continuous
high-standard pathway on public land between Havelock and Picton, that included
Anakiwa. This will effectively extend the existing popular Queen Charlotte
Track and link it directly to Picton and the inter-island ferries, and thus the
Link Pathway project took on regional and national significance.
Take an Afternoon cruise with us down the grove arm to Ngakuta Bay. Depart Picton at 2:30pm which will have
you arrive around 2:45pm. Here you will have the opportunity to join the link
pathway back to Picton. The pathway is one of the 4 bridle paths that where re-discovered
that had been constructed over 150 years ago and lain forgotten for 100 years!
The last hour of the walk will also give you the opportunity to explore the WW2 lookout.
Take some light refreshments sunscreen and your camera because your bound to see some incredible views
