Itinerary



Day One

Depart Picton on our 9:00am service to Ship Cove, spend some time at Historic
Ship Cove with the Captain Cook Monument before heading out onto the Queen
Charlotte Track for your 17km walk to Furneaux Lodge. As you head out into the
Endeavour Inlet you will walk through native and virgin forest, climbing up the
track through a high canopy of trees before dropping down into the old bridal
path that leads you around the Endeavour Inlet. Check into your accommodation
at Furneaux Lodge.



Day Two

Todays walk is a leisurely one, 11km on the flattest section of the track leads
you around the Endeavour Inlet from Furneaux Lodge to Punga Cove Resort. Check
into your accomodation at Punga Cove Resort.



Day Three

Enjoy spectacular views as you climb the main ridge between Queen Charlotte and
Kenepuru Sounds. Follow old bridle paths through regenerating forest that is
home to Weka, Silver Eyes, Fantails and many more native New Zealand birds.
This is the longest days walking with plenty of uphill climbs, with variety walking
though bush and along the ridgeline. Check into your accommodation at the
Portage Resort. Todays walk is 24km.



Day Three

Again enjoy fantastic veiws as you climb the high elevation from the Torea
Saddle, once up on the saddle the track will drop you down into Te Mahia before
ending with a gentle 21km walk through the magnificent beech forest to Anakiwa where
your boat will meet you at 3.30pm to return you back to Picton.
